We hope you find this website to be a useful tool as you learn more about our church family and ministry. More importantly, however, we hope you sense our sincere commitment to the Gospel of Christ and to living our faith day-by-day through God’s grace. We pray your visit extends beyond this website and that we’ll be able to meet you in person soon, whether for worship, for a tour of our facilities, or just to have a chat. We’d love to meet you and tell you more about the wonderful things God is doing at Christ the Lord.
Lutheran worship gathers people around the gospel, or the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ. In our services, we follow a pattern of worship called “liturgy”. This pattern helps us focus on the gospel by allowing us to confess our sins and receive God’s forgiveness, to pray together, to hear God’s Word and to share Holy Communion. We also make use of our talents in art and music to beautify worship with a variety of symbols and singing.
When you arrive, someone will greet you. We’ll get a bulletin in your hand and help you find a seat if you wish. Look for our pastors, they’ll be around to greet you too and they can answer any questions you might have. Sunday mornings or Monday nights, you’ll find people dressed in all sorts of ways, expressing both their desire to respect God and his Word and to be comfortable as they worship.
Kids quickly pick up on the way we worship and we think there’s nothing better than that. God’s blessed us with many children too, so you won’t be the only one with kids. In fact, we know it can be a little daunting bringing kids to church. So, if your child needs a break for any reason, we have a cry room in the church or you can help them burn off a little energy in the hallway.
