Paul Frisque began his service at Christ the Lord in the summer of 2021 as the Director of Parish Music. He grew up in Shawano, WI and attended Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton where his love for choral and instrumental music developed and grew. Following his high school graduation, he enrolled as a member of the first class in the Secondary Teacher Education Program (STEP) at Dr. Martin Luther College where he graduated in 1993 with majors in education and music. He was assigned to teach 6th grade, direct the male chorus and senior choir, and be head organist at St. John’s Lutheran School in Jefferson, WI where he served until 2006 when he accepted a Call to St. Jacobi Lutheran School in Greenfield. At St. Jacobi he served as 6th grade teacher and music director.
Paul married his wife Kristi (Wohlers) at CTL in 1993. The Lord has blessed the Frisques with one son, Nathaniel. Paul holds a Wisconsin state license in elementary and middle school education, PreK-12 general music, and middle through high school choral music. When not working and making music, Paul enjoys gardening, home improvements, and landscape photography.
