School Athletics

The purpose of our sports program at Christ the Lord is to promote Christian fellowship within our school and with other schools, to nurture Christian sportsmanship, and finally to expose the children to a number of varied sports – learning the skills necessary to compete with other young people. It is hoped that the benefits they reap from our sports program will prove favorable to their future as Christian young people growing up in a very competitive world. We believe a “winner” is one who is humble in victory and gracious in defeat. The athletic programs are run in accordance with the overall purpose and goals of our school.

School sports are open to all students in grades 3-8. At times, second graders may also be invited to be part of a team. We do not cut any players; everyone who goes out for the sport is automatically a member of the team. It is our intention to include everyone in every athletic contest.
